Firmware 3.08N with CPS 3.08, icon file 1.23 and Bluetooth module firmware 10046: fixes the 3.07 faults (3.07 was withdrawn) and satellite frequency/pass errors, improves BT PTT reconnect. The last release with the satellite function; AnyTone reports some radios on 3.08N froze in use.
Read before installing. Not hosted: every AnyTone/BridgeCom package includes the 'D878UVscreens' background-image set by Tim Rauhut, DL2DMC, whose readme says it 'must not be re-distributed without written permission of the author', and vendor files are never modified. Package D878UVII PLUS V3.08N official release 250614.zip: 26,373,014 bytes, SHA-256 b7c287ec3f087791e033d4c7086ee876da9bc7e07664e2b7e9d27cb4c396e413 (checked 2026-09-18). Contents: CPS installer (D878UVII CPS 3.08), firmware D878UVII_V3.08n_20250613 (.CDD/.CDI/.spi), update instructions and change log (PDF). Install: CPS > Set > Set Com; turn GPS and APRS off in the radio; hold PTT + PF3 (top key) while powering on (red LED blinks); CPS > Tool > Firmware and Icon Update > Open Update File > the .spi in the FW folder > Write; then reset the MCU by holding PTT + PF1 while powering on and confirm 'Initialize'. Save the codeplug first: the reset erases it. Use D878UVII_* firmware only; D878UV (V1) firmware gives 'version error'. The CPS version must match the firmware version.
