Not hosted: every AnyTone/BridgeCom package includes the 'D878UVscreens' background-image set by Tim Rauhut, DL2DMC, whose readme says it 'must not be re-distributed without written permission of the author', and vendor files are never modified. Package D878UVII PLUS V3.01 official release 221110.zip: 23,432,745 bytes, SHA-256 4cee715319813c832226c0f57c4f8f918306ced46e9ff5e4096b64f6db7ab439 (checked 2026-09-18). Contents: CPS installer (D878UVII CPS 3.01), firmware D878UVII_V3.01_20221104 (.CDD/.CDI/.spi), update instructions and change log (PDF). Install: CPS > Set > Set Com; turn GPS and APRS off in the radio; hold PTT + PF3 (top key) while powering on (red LED blinks); CPS > Tool > Firmware and Icon Update > Open Update File > the .spi in the FW folder > Write; then reset the MCU by holding PTT + PF1 while powering on and confirm 'Initialize'. Save the codeplug first: the reset erases it. Use D878UVII_* firmware only; D878UV (V1) firmware gives 'version error'. The CPS version must match the firmware version.
