The oldest XPA125B firmware recovered: Xiegu's own RAR from its former cqxiegu.com download page (Wayback capture of 2022-01-17); the .xgf inside is dated 2020-06-09. The version xiegu.eu and the owners' group pointed to until build 014 and V2.0.1 appeared.
Read before installing. Release date conflict: Radioddity says 2022-09-20, but the file is dated 2020-06-09 and was on Xiegu's site by January 2022; left blank. RAR5 archive: needs an extractor with RAR support. xiegu.eu's own download link for it now returns 404. Superseded by build 014 and V2.0.1.

WHAT THIS IS
------------
Xiegu XPA125B firmware V2.0.0 build 013, as Xiegu itself published it on
its former download page at cqxiegu.com (captured by the Wayback Machine
on 2022-01-17), in Xiegu's own archive XPA125B_FW_V2.0.0_build013.rar.
The firmware file inside is dated 2020-06-09.
This is the oldest XPA125B firmware file recovered, and the version that
xiegu.eu ("XPA125B Firmware v2.0.0 build013") and the Xiegu-XPA125B group
(groups.io message #102) pointed owners to. Xiegu published no
release note; Radioddity: "No release details provided by Xiegu".
Dates disagree: Radioddity's V2.0.1 release notes call it "V2.0.0 Build
013 as of September 20th, 2022", but the file is dated 2020-06-09 and was
on Xiegu's site by January 2022. The release date is therefore left
blank.
Superseded by V2.0.0 build 014 (supplied by Xiegu support in 2023) and
V2.0.1 (2025-01-14), both in this archive. One owner reported (groups.io
#134) that build 014 cured a false high input-SWR reading at PTT that
build 013 did not.
An older "XPA125_FW_V2.0.0_build003" was posted to the group by an owner
(#250) but could not be retrieved; no earlier XPA125B firmware was found.

Xiegu XPA125B only. Xiegu: "This firmware is only applicable to XPA125B.
Cannot be used for XPA125, so as to avoid abnormalities and damage the
equipment."
BEFORE STARTING
---------------
- The firmware is inside a RAR (RAR5 format) archive, so an extractor
with RAR support is needed (WinRAR, or 7-Zip; the official 7-Zip 26.00
tested it "Everything is Ok"). Some Linux 7-Zip packages are built
without RAR support and fail with "Unsupported Method". Build 014 (a
plain zip) is the easier alternative.
- External DC supply set to 13.8 V; the amplifier's data cable (supplied
USB cable, or a G90 / X5105 data cable per Xiegu) and its driver.
- TeraTerm with XMODEM-1k. Xiegu's own download page offered TeraTerm in
a separate "Update-Tool TeraTerm.rar" (groups.io #102, which names
version 4.96); Tera Term 4.96 is a separate entry in this archive.
- The upgrade clears the tuner's stored data (Xiegu tutorial).

INSTALLATION
------------
From Xiegu's XPA125B firmware upgrade tutorial (2020-01-09), with
details from Radioddity's V2.0.1 instructions:
1. Extract XPA125B_FW_V2.0.0_build013.xgf from the RAR.
2. Install the data-cable driver (Xiegu: see the G90 firmware upgrade
tutorial). Run TeraTerm and select the port (115200 baud per M0PQA).
3. With the XPA125B switched off and powered from 13.8 V, hold [PA] and
[BAND] and press [POWER] to enter the firmware upgrade screen.
4. Press [PA] (UPDATE). After about 3 seconds TeraTerm shows
"Waiting Connect.c". The firmware can now be sent.
5. TeraTerm: File > Transfer > XMODEM > Send, choose the .xgf file and
tick the "1k" option.
6. When the transfer completes the XPA125B powers on by itself. Unplug
the data cable and switch it off and on once more.
VERIFYING
---------
V2.0.0 builds do not display a firmware version (groups.io #419); the
bootloader screen shows only the bootloader version (#102). Normal
start-up after step 6 is the only confirmation.
IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG
-----------------------
- "Update finish! Entering user code.... Cannot not find an application":
the upload failed; the bootloader remains. Repeat steps 3-6, with 1k
ticked and TeraTerm 4.96 (groups.io #244-#246; M0PQA).
- The RAR will not extract: see BEFORE STARTING.
- Tuner memories cleared: expected (Xiegu tutorial).
DOWNGRADING
-----------
Loaded the same way over any later firmware; owners have moved between
V2.0.1 and V2.0.0 builds by this procedure (groups.io #399). No firmware
older than build 013 was recovered.
