Release v1.2 for the v1.2 (white PCB) hardware: fixes start-up on the Pi Zero 2 W. The release notes link http://cubesatsim.org/download/cubesatsim-v1.2.iso.gz, which is no longer in the directory; it now holds cubesatsim-v1.2.iso.zip (dated 2024-02-06) and cubesatsim-v1.2-universal.iso.gz (1.9G, dated 2022-04-14).
Read before installing. Link only: a system image still offered by the project (1.2G in the directory listing, file dated 2024-02-06). Official file: https://cubesatsim.org/download/cubesatsim-v1.2.iso.zip. Writing: the project wiki (https://github.com/alanbjohnston/CubeSatSim/wiki/2.-Software-Install) uses balenaEtcher and a 16 GB or larger microSD card; Raspberry Pi Imager cannot apply its OS customisation (user, Wi-Fi) to a custom image. First boot: the software starts on power-up; log in as pi / raspberry (hostname cubesatsim) and change the password, set the callsign with CubeSatSim/config -c (default ID is AMSAT) and the APRS position with CubeSatSim/config -l; Wi-Fi is set with sudo raspi-config. No checksum is published. The software is GPL-3.0 (alanbjohnston/CubeSatSim); the image is a free download from AMSAT's open download directory https://cubesatsim.org/download/.
